The home owner was selling the house and a concern was the old shake roof. He wanted the best roof so the new owners would have security in their new homes roof. New skylights were also installed through out the house. The gas furnace pipe was replaced due to the amount of rust on the old furnace "B" vent around the gas furnace pipe.

Plywood needs to be installed in order to apply Presidential TL as the new roof. After tearing off shake, the house was skip sheeted with 1x4 boards. Shake roofs need skip sheeting to be able to breath, since its a wood product. To sheet in a house we use 3 inch nails, and nail each piece of plywood heavy.

30lb felt paper was installed over the new plywood. Felt paper is a water tight tar paper and come in 15 and 30lb. Hedgecock Roofing only uses 30lb, which is much stronger. The felt paper in stapled heavily in the field and along the bottom. Bad stapling along the bottom of the felt paper can be dangerous. High winds are very common to tearing up poorly stapled paper on job. Hedgecock Roofing does not allow this to happen with heavy stapling.

Presidential TL for the finished product. Installed metal valleys and metal around skylights to match color of the roof. Presidential TL is a lengthy install, but produces a amazing result.
